The Fray Bernardo de Lugo Language Institute aims to offer the foreign community a comprehensive learning space for the Spanish language, based mainly on the development of communicative skills, which allow the learner of the Spanish language to use the appropriate strategies to express themselves clearly in family situations, issues of personal, academic or professional interest, using appropriate structures and varied vocabulary demonstrating a good degree of fluency. It is also the purpose of the Institute to stimulate intercultural interaction, to foster the desire of the foreign population to communicate in the Spanish language and to develop their autonomy in the acquisition process through didactic and technological resources as a complement to their training.

Teacher Laura Sepulveda laura.sepulveda@usantoto.edu.co Teacher of Modern Languages Spanish-English, candidate for a magister in Teacher Training of Spanish as a Second Language, with more than 10 years of experience in the didactics of languages. Excellent capacity for group management, design and application of assessments, creation of digital resources and carry out pedagogical activities for the learning of languages in the different stages of human development. Teacher of Spanish and English, candidate for Master of Spanish as a foreign language and second language of the Caro y Cuervo Institute of Colombia. Teaching experience in higher education of about 10 years in the didactics and teaching of languages. He has been a professor at some universities and language institutes nationally and internationally, especially in Japan, where he has been linked to educational processes of training Spanish as a foreign language. It currently carries out activities related to the academic training of languages, as well as research in foreign languages. Co-creator and trainer, of the ELEX course of the USTA Tunja.
Methodology
Development of the four communicative skills indispensables for the proficient handling of a foreign language, such as reading, speaking, writing and listening comprehension. Guidance on the use of USTA Virtual Campus and its integration with remote classes. Blended learning modality. Opening of virtual spaces to develop digital competence and interactive learning. Classes guided by native teachers to strengthen intercultural skills and communication in real environments.
Certification
The ILFBL of the Santo Tomás University will grant those who have successfully completed the complete program A1.1 and A1.2, a Certificate of Academic Knowledge Level A1. Important Requirement, participate at least 80% of the course to achieve constancy.
